Blog: What’s on Stacy’s Mind?
The AT & T representative tried very hard to get me to connect to cable this week. I kept saying over and over. "I do not watch cable". They did not get it. When the internet guy came to install my internet service he asked why I didn't want Cable service. I said to him that I stopped watching in 2014 and I didn't want it.
He said, "Well, what do you do?"
I said, "Read".
He just stared at me with a blank look...
The television was taking away from my life at one point years ago. Endless Commercials were soaking up the peace in my home. I turned it off, and guess what? I didn't die without the TV! The thing is, I don't miss it one bit. If I want to watch a movie, I do. I listen to TED talks while I go about my tasks. I listen to fascinating seminars by scholars studying incredible things. I listen to music and stay busy with other constructive things. I read books! I do not subscribe to the endless nonsense of the cable media. I don’t understand why this is so strange to people. Are they under some kind of mind control? When I think back to the days when I did watch a lot of TV and the hours and hours I wasted in front of that stupid screen, I wish that I had that time back so that I could make better use of it.
I went into a restaurant the other day and TV screens were everywhere with FOX, CNN, MSNBC. Each screen had someone different but each one yelling and angry about something. I felt a rush of anxiety and I felt like I just had to get out of there. The waitress came to take my order and I told her I was not going to stay because I did not care to watch the chaos.
Since disconnecting from the Media. I feel peace and I am completely UNAFFECTED by all of the media events that they are constantly upsetting the rest of the people with. Keeping people in Fear, Sorrow and Anger is an agenda for control. Here’s the truth. You don’t have to wait for that train to stop, because it won’t. You are FREE to get off at any time.
No, I have no idea what is going on in politics and in the words of Rhett Butler, “frankly my dear, I don't give a damn”. The people are being manipulated by the media. Plain and simple. They are making you believe that there is no good in the world. When you disconnect, you find the good stuff and you actually enjoy it and become part of it.
I don't even care to vote. Yes, I know it’s my American right, but, It’s like....do you want the red pill or the blue pill? Either way it’s a big pill to swallow. It's all too ridiculous for participation. The world will go one without this girl wasting her spirit, talent and energy by worrying about the problems that media uses to keep your attention.
You don’t need me to tell you that we are all going to die one day. Don't be that person who looks back saying, "Why did I waste my life in front of the News, worrying and about the things I could not control?".
Be the one who says, "I'm glad I fully lived and loved every waking moment,"
Live in JOY!
That is all. I'm going to go paint my living room now and listen to some cool new music.
Ciao!
I Love YOU!
