Cultivating Love without Expectation
Why is it that we sometimes allow a wonderful connection and a deep appreciation for someone to become distorted with expectations, emotional drama, or confusion? How can we remain in the purity of our intention to Love without it getting all screwed up?
We have all heard the term, “Love without Expectation. Give without expecting anything in return”. How can we “arrive” to a place where we can consistently love wholeheartedly and surrender our expectations for it to be reciprocated in the way that we want or we think we want?
My deepest intention is to create relationships based on trust, openness and unconditional love rather than need, obligation and expectation. My true desire is to love wholeheartedly. Loving without expectation is true love. It is rare, and complex and is not always the easy route.
Love is the ultimate goal of this life. At least that's how I see it. It's better than money, power, professional success, beauty, etc.
But to LOVE, you must be VULNERABLE and open your heart. It is truly necessary in order to love others in the fullest, most beautiful way.
What if........you offered love & kindness
JUST FOR THE SAKE OF LOVING?...JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO SEEK AFTER THE VIRTUE OF LOVE.
Loving in this way does does not put pressure on others to be in charge of your happiness. Seeking after the virtue of LOVE helps you to become your truest, most worthwhile self. It's the heart of who we all are. We all have the power within us to live this way. Living in Love is the most monumental thing a human being could ever do.
If we know our own worth, it is outwardly apparent. It should not matter whether or not someone is capable of returning love to you. We should still love whether or not our love is received. We are free to seek to build someone else's worth regardless if they receive it or are even grateful for it.
The essence of love is believing that someone is worth our patience, kindness, forgiveness and compassion. We give these things, not because they are doing anything to deserve it, but because they inherently have worth. Our goal is to bring it out in them. We offer what we can out of love, and then let each person carry out their own life and their own path....without our expectations.
If we allow pure Love to fuel what we are doing....we can do the most difficult things we've ever had to do in this life.
“In this lifetime, you will find one person who will love you more than anyone you have ever known. They will love you with every bit of energy and soul. They will sacrifice, surrender and give so much to you. Someday you will know who that is”
Someday you will know that,
I Love You,
Stacy
